maybe the opened their eyes and noticed that looks incredibly arrogant, and no ones going to want to book you if you have an attitude like that.

Maybe playing the underground ever was a bad idea?
We are working on playing a few shows in the next couple of months out of state. We aren't getting paid for them. That is for sure. Probably will cost a fortune but it needs to be done. It's a smart move.
If you are in a band you should think about what everything you do as a band does for you. Playing every weekend in the same area burns you out to kids. Driving too far for no kids wastes your time. Not putting on a good show for a small turn out is disrespectful to the audience. Failing to promote your show as hard as humanly possible is a disgrace.
None of this is news but everyone needs to be reminded of it. Us included.
Be smart or at least be willing to take the advice of the people that are looking out for you.

you got to be prepared to take more than your fair share of losses before you can expect to go anywhere

the old band i was in did a little road trip with USA Waste, we drove thirteen hours to Olean, NY, then to the El en' Gee in New London, CT, than back home. I think we made 130 dollars for gas, and that too us was aweosme. We all ended up paying out of pocket for a lot of the expsense, but we got to play to kick ass shows and met some truely awesome kids

I know there will be a decent crowd. All the hot topic metal kids should show up. I don't really mind when they do, it's just more kids at the show to stage dive on.

It cost a lot in gas but it's no different than traveling for a vacation. Plus we had a free place to stay.

Wasn't Matt Humphrey in the band when they were doing that? i think he was but when they went on their journey he didnt go? i dont remember he quit the band because he didnt want to move to california, and their van broke down on the way, so they were stranded, and had to spend their money on fixing it just so they could get back here. but you know what, they are some of the chillest dudes you could hope to meet. and they are promoting the shit out of this killwhitneydead show.

The next day F.V.K, Guns Up!, Death Before Dishonor and a ton of other bands played there but we had that other show. Looking back I wish we just went back to catch this one.

Awesome venue for sure. Great times. Agnostic Front and then Reagan Youth were both playing within a couple weeks of us being there
